Past incidents

Every incident gets a public timeline and a short explanation of the cause.

  • Slower disk performance in one block storage cluster

    Resolved
    Affected
    Block storage
    Impact
    Degraded performance
    Duration
    35 min · 12 September 2026
    1. Resolved

Performance has been normal for 10 minutes. The cause was a failing disk controller in one storage node, which slowed down data rebalancing. The controller has been replaced. No data was lost.

    2. Monitoring

The affected storage node has been taken out of service and latency is returning to normal. We are monitoring the cluster.

    3. Identified

We have found a faulty disk controller in one storage node and are moving traffic away from it.

    4. Investigating

We are investigating higher disk latency for some virtual machines that use block storage.

  • Increased latency through one upstream carrier

    Resolved

    Network
    Impact
    Degraded performance
    Duration
    45 min · 3 August 2026
    1. Resolved

Latency has been normal for 20 minutes through our other carriers. The affected carrier is repairing its fiber; we will move traffic back once the repair is confirmed.

    2. Monitoring

Traffic to the affected destinations now goes through our other carriers. Latency is back to normal for all customers.

    3. Identified

One of our upstream carriers has a fiber cut on its international backbone. We are moving traffic to alternative carriers.

    4. Investigating

We are investigating increased latency to some international destinations.
